Communication is skill that you can learn.
It’s like riding a bicycle or typing.
If you’re willing to work at it,
you can rapidly improve the quality of every part of your life.
~Brian Tracy
The key to learning anything is “if you’re willing to work at it.” Life is about learning, aka “working at it.” No one is not born with a sole ability, besides the ability to learn. All people have the ability to learn – how they learn they learn is different, what they choose to learn is different, how they choose to learn what they learn is different. Some desire formal training where others would rather attempt trial and error – for most it is combination of learning from another with certain skills and the freedom to explore. Many are able to find great success with a small amount of guidance – when one learns how to ask the questions that contributes to their success they are well on their way.
Communication is no different… if you are willing to work at it. When you commit to learn about yourself i.e. becoming more aware of how you communicate and receive others communication – you will find that much of the stress you perceived was not stress, but not understanding yourself or others. Understanding yourself is a lifelong learning process – so do not get frustrated, keep working at it.
